How To Book The Follow Up Gig

As a performing band, you always want to be able to play at a venue that you like more than once. Certain venues start to become like a second home. The locals know and love you, you can bring in a good crown, make decent money for yourself as well as put a good amount of money into the pockets of the venue. So how do you go about booking that follow up gig?

You just played an awesome set. The place loved you. Now you’re packing up your gear and bringing it to the back room until you’re ready to go home. This is the perfect time to look at your gig calendar and find some dates that you are free. This is the best time because the booking manager or venue owner has just seen what you can do. It’s better than trying to make them remember which band you were when they see 4 or 5 a night. Introduce yourself in person, ask to sit down with them to book another date some time in the future. You’ll be glad you did.

If the person you need to speak with is not there, make sure you get his contact information.
